Super Simple Air Fryer Chicken Wings - 2 Ways

Chicken Wings #1- Easy Salt & Pepper

Preparation: 5 mins | Cooking Time: ~20 mins | Serves: 2-4 as snack

Skills Level: Easy

Ingredients

• 500g chicken wings
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp garlic salt
• 1 tsp lemon pepper

Method

• Pat dry the chicken wings using paper towel.
• Place in a mixing bowl and drizzle with oil until coated.
• Add garlic salt and lemon pepper and toss the chicken wings until the wings are evenly coated. 
• Place in the air fryer at 190℃ (~375℉) and cook for 10 mins. 
• Shake or turn over and cook for another 8-10 mins until brown and cooked evenly.

Chicken Wings #2 - Honey BBQ Wings

Preparation: 5 mins | Cooking Time: ~20-25 mins | Serves: 2-4 as snack

Ingredients

• 500g chicken wings
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1½ tbsp flour
• salt & pepper to taste
• 1 cup BBQ sauce
• ¼ cup honey
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 tsp sriracha or hot sauce optional
• 2 tbsp lime juice

Method

• Combine flour, baking soda, salt & pepper.
• Pat dry the chicken wings using paper towel.
• Place wings in a mixing bowl and add in flour mix and toss to coat.
• Place wings evenly in the air fryer at 200℃ (~400℉) and cook for 10 mins.
• Turn wings over or shake and cook for an additional 10-15 mins or until crispy and cooked through.
• While wings are cooking combine the BBQ sauce, honey, butter, sriracha & lime juice into a small saucepan and warm over low heat until almost a simmer, do not over cook.
• Once wings a done place in mixing bowl and add sauce a little at a time, tossing to cover until desired level of sauce has coated the wings.
• Serve as you wish.

Chicken Wing Tips & Tricks

• We have used both cut or full wings, depends on what we can buy already cut up. I personally prefer only the middle or drumlette, the little drumstick looking bit.
• The recipes would easily work with other cuts of chicken, simply adjust cooking time to ensure chicken is cooked through.
• Don't be afraid to experiment with adding other herbs and spices like a little paprika or chilli powder.
