It doesn't get simpler than this, a super easy, very tasty and versatile tomato based pasta sauce. Only a handful of ingredients and you will never buy tomato sauce from the supermarket again ... as Nat from Nat's What I Reckon would advise "say f**k-off to jar sauces".
The beauty of this sauce is that you can make up a large batch and freeze it for later. Usually we make up enough for 3-4 500g portions. The recipe below is a little more practical for an easy pasta dinner with a little left over for later. Ratios will be the same depending on how much you want to make. The really great thing here is that you can use this simple sauce as a base or addition to so many recipes. Perfect for a number of easy tasty dinner options any night of the week.
The vegetarian option is to simply added it to your favourite pasta, a little parmesan and your done. Throw in some prawns and chorizo and you have a not so vegetarian great tasting pasta dish. Make up some homemade meatballs and you have a quintessential spaghetti and meatballs. Use it as the tomato topping for chicken parmigiana, a dipping sauce for arancini balls or as the tomato sauce base on your pizza. Versatile for sure.
How ever you use it you won't be disappointed and you will never buy a jar of tomato pasta sauce again.
Have a go, let me know.
